Our Goal is to “Get To Zero”
through education, prevention and health resources.
We offer no-cost health screenings and education at our Main Office as well as at specific partnered locations within Sarasota County. We provide no-cost Rapid HIV testing (results in 15 minutes), Rapid Hepatitis C testing, Gonorrhea and Chlamydia screening*. Diabetes and Blood Pressure screenings are performed upon request as a courtesy to our community members.
*Gonorrhea and Chlamydia screenings require a urine sample be provided which we send off to AFC Urgent Care Sarasota which processes the sample and typically has the results available for the client within 3 business days.
CARES Outreach Services, Inc. does not receive any local, state or federal funding. CARES relies on individual, private business or community donations. Our Office is located at 24 N. Lime Ave, Unit #38, Sarasota, FL 34237 (in the Hedges Health Mart Pharmacy building).
CARES Outreach Services, Inc. is recognized by the Florida Department of Health and Human Services to provide testing and counseling services for all Area 8 counties (Collier , DeSoto , Charlotte, Hendry, Lee, Glades and Sarasota). Outside of Area 8 with permission.
CARES home office and sites around the Sarasota County offers FREE NO-COST testing and education on HIV and STI’s, linkage to treatment and referrals to other community agencies. CARES also provides education and information on PrEP and PEP HIV prevention.
CARES also provides HIV and HEP C education at various learning and educational institutions and offers license certification requirements for certain fields of study.
CARES provides no-cost Rapid 15 minute result HIV and HEP C testing. Our community partner, AFC Urgent Care, Sarasota, offers STI testing / screening.
